FAQs

What ages do you teach?

We encourage people of all ages to come visits us and our horses but we ask that anyone riding be at least six (6) years old.

What should I wear to my lesson?

Riders must wear long pants such as slacks, jeans, or breeches while riding. Riders should also wear shoes with a small heel such as cowboy boots, paddock boots, or tall riding boots - long socks are recommended.

What should I expect at my first lesson?

When you arrive you will be asked to sign a liability release. Every rider must sign the release before coming in contact with the horses. If you do not have your own helmet, we will be happy to help you find one that fits from our selection. Once you have your helmet, you will meet the horse you will be riding and we will go over basic safety as well as how to groom and tack your horse to get ready to ride. After the riding portion of the lesson, we will also show you how to untack your horse and clean up.
